Our Eleventh Session (21 January 2015)

Do you remember what "gripping" means?

Eg. I love "Los Otros". Nicole Kidman and Alakina Mann star in this gripping thriller by Alejandro Amenábar.

1- We corrected exercise 3 on page 23, but before we explained again the relative pronouns.

2- We corrected exercises 4 and 5 on page 23.

3- We completed exercise 9 on page 24. We learnt how to show our agreement or disagreement on any subject.

4- We listened to exercise 10 on page 24 and spoke in pairs while we practised what we've already learnt.

5- We read exercise 11 on page 24 and gave examples of real English outside the classroom.

6- We completed the "How to..." box with the correct prepositions. Do you remember the exercise we did last Wednesday about objects? It's just the same:

Eg. Pen: It's a kind of pencil, it's used for writing and it's made of plastic.

7- We played "Shh!". We made two teams and tried to describe an object or a word withouth saying three essential expressions related to that object:

Eg.  TV channel: we couldn't pronounce the words "to watch", "programme" or "film".

Finally, the Superwomen won.

8- We explained the passive voice and did exercise 11, 12 and 13 on page 27.

9- We watched the video "The Mag" and we discovered where Leicester is in the map of the UK.
